Scott Nelson

Scott A. Nelson is a technology executive, AI strategist, evangelist, and digital transformation leader with more than 35 years driving innovation and growth. He founded Tamarack AI®, scaling it past $1M ARR as an AI-powered SaaS platform for the equipment finance industry.
He began his career learning the fundamentals of both technology and product development at Honeywell's corporate R&D center. He grew Logic PD's design and engineering organization from 12 people to more than 120, co-leading it through the launch of a new embedded SOM business and a merger with its manufacturing partner. He helped private equity launch SkyWater Technology Foundry, becoming its EVP of Corporate Development, then drove IoT product strategy as Chief Product Officer at Digi International.
He mentors with the Alchemist Accelerator and has advised multiple boards on technology strategy and innovation. He holds a Ph.D. in Applied Physics from Cornell, which earns him this from his engineering peers: “You may know how it works, but we make it work.”
Scott describes himself today as a semi-retired technologist, evangelist, design thinker, AI strategist, and board member and advisor. He works with entrepreneurs and growth-centric leadership teams who want to use technology and business strategy to build competitive advantage through culture-first leadership.
